The Renesas 551SDCGI is a low-cost, high-speed single-input to four-output LVCMOS clock buffer from the 551S series. It features an additive phase jitter of sub-50fs RMS and extremely low skew outputs of 50ps. The device operates within a supply voltage range of 1.71V to 3.465V and supports input frequencies up to 200 MHz. Packaged in an 8-SOIC format with a width of 3.90mm, it is designed for networking clock applications. The component functions as a non-inverting fan-out buffer with an output enable mode that tri-states outputs.
The 551SDCGI belongs to the 551S family of low-skew clock buffers. This series includes variants such as the 551SCMGI (COL package), 551SPGGI (TSSOP package), and the tape-and-reel version 551SDCGI8. All members share core electrical characteristics but differ in physical packaging and moisture sensitivity levels.
The 551SDCGI8 is a parameter-equivalent alternative available in a tape-and-reel package instead of the tube. Other family members like the 551SCMGI and 551SPGGI offer different package types (COL and TSSOP respectively) while maintaining similar electrical performance.
