The A6259KA is an 8-bit addressable DMOS power driver integrating a 3-to-8 line CMOS decoder, data latches, and control circuitry. It features eight open-drain outputs capable of sinking up to 750 mA peak current per output or 250 mA continuously across all channels. The device operates with a logic supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V and supports a minimum output clamp voltage of 50 V. Typical on-state resistance is 1.3 Ω at 25°C.
The A6259KA is officially discontinued and no longer recommended for new design applications. Samples are unavailable from the manufacturer. Verification of current stock availability through authorized distributors is required before procurement consideration.
Select this component only for legacy system maintenance or repair where original specifications must be preserved. Ensure the application does not require new production runs due to discontinuation status. Verify that the 20-pin DIP package form factor fits existing board layouts.
Manufactured by Allegro MicroSystems, the A6259KA belongs to the family of addressable power drivers. It is electrically identical to the surface-mount variant A6259KLW, sharing common terminal assignments. The device utilizes copper lead frames to reduce supply current requirements and maintain low on-state resistance.
Public datasheets identify the TPIC6259N and TPIC6259DW as replacement devices. Direct substitutes listed include the TPIC6273N from Texas Instruments.
