The AD14160LKB-4 is a high-performance digital signal processor module belonging to the Quad-SHARC multiprocessor family. It integrates four ADSP-21060 DSP cores, delivering a peak performance of 480 MFLOPS and a sustained rate of 320 MFLOPS per core. The device features a 25 ns instruction rate with single-cycle execution capability. It includes 16 Mbit of shared SRAM internal to the SHARC processors and supports a 4 Gigaword addressable off-module memory space. The architecture provides twelve 40 Mbyte/s link ports and independent serial communication interfaces.
The AD14160LKB-4 is part of the AD14060/AD14160 family of Quad-SHARC DSP multiprocessors. These modules are designed to provide scalable processing power by combining multiple high-speed DSP cores into a single package, facilitating complex algorithmic tasks that require significant computational throughput.
The device operates with a 25 ns instruction rate, allowing for single-cycle instruction execution on each of the four processors.
It includes 16 Mbit of shared SRAM that is internal to the SHARC processors.
The processor supports 32-bit single precision and 40-bit extended precision IEEE floating-point data formats, as well as 32-bit fixed-point data formats.
