Audio Special Purpose Overview

The CS8422-CNZR is a 24-bit, high-performance, monolithic CMOS stereo asynchronous sample rate converter with an integrated digital audio interface receiver. It decodes audio data according to EIAJ CP1201, IEC-60958, AES3, and S/PDIF interface standards. The device supports flexible 3-wire serial digital I/O ports, dual serial audio output ports with independently selectable data paths, and master or slave mode operation for all serial audio ports. It features time division multiplexing (TDM) mode, an integrated oscillator for use with an external crystal, and four general-purpose output pins. Power supplies include +3.3 V analog supply (VA) and +1.8 V to 5.0 V digital interface (VL). It is available in a space-saving 32-pin QFN package.
