The LTC2392CLX-16 is a 16-bit, 0.5Msps successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. It operates from a single 5V supply and features both parallel and serial output interfaces. The device supports a large ±4.096V fully differential input range, making it suitable for applications requiring maximum dynamic range. Key performance metrics include a signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SINAD) of 94dB and an spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 104dB. The component is housed in a 48-lead LQFP package.
The LTC2392CLX-16 belongs to the LTC2393-16 family of low-noise, high-speed ADCs, which also includes the LTC2393-16 (1Msps) and LTC2391-16 (0.25Msps). These devices share similar architectural characteristics and are designed for applications demanding high dynamic range. Evaluation boards such as the DC1501A-A are available to demonstrate the performance of this family in both parallel and serial modes.
The LTC2393CLX-16 offers a higher sampling rate of 1Msps while maintaining 16-bit resolution and the same package type. The LTC2391CLX-16 provides a lower sampling rate of 0.25Msps. Both are part of the same family and may serve as functional alternatives depending on speed requirements.
