PAM-OT-10-16R

Audio Transformers Overview

The PAM-OT-10-16R is an audio output transformer manufactured by Pacific Transformer. It features a primary impedance of 10.3kCT and a secondary impedance of 8 Ohms. The component is designed for chassis mounting applications. It serves as a replacement for Fender part number 125A12A, specifically intended for use in the 6G15 Brownface Reverb Unit amplifier produced between 1959 and 1963.

Audio Transformers Feature Summary

Designed for vintage amplifier reverb unit output stages
Chassis mount construction for secure installation
Compatible with specific Fender Brownface era circuitry

Audio Transformers Applications

Fender 6G15 Brownface Reverb Unit amplifiers
Vintage amplifier restoration projects
Audio equipment repair involving 1959-1963 era Fender units

Audio Transformers Procurement Notes

Verify that the target amplifier matches the Fender 6G15 Brownface Reverb Unit specification before procurement. Confirm that the original transformer requires a 10.3kCT primary impedance to ensure correct circuit operation. Check physical dimensions and mounting hole patterns to guarantee compatibility with the existing chassis layout. Ensure the secondary impedance aligns with the speaker load requirements of the specific amplifier model being serviced.

Audio Transformers Selection Notes

Select this component only when replacing transformers in Fender 6G15 Brownface Reverb Units or compatible circuits requiring a 10.3kCT primary impedance. Do not substitute this part into amplifiers designed for different primary impedances, such as those requiring 8kCT or 12kCT primaries, as mismatched impedance can affect performance. Consider the chassis mount form factor when evaluating space constraints within the amplifier enclosure.

Audio Transformers Part Context

This transformer belongs to the Pacific Audio Magnetics line of components designed for vintage replica and restoration purposes. It is specifically engineered to match the electrical characteristics of historical Fender amplifier designs. The product supports the maintenance of classic audio equipment by providing accurate replacements for obsolete original parts from the late 1950s and early 1960s.
