The VSC7154XYS/C is a multimode, user-configurable 36-PHY Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) expander supporting 1.5Gbps and 3.0Gbps data rates. It provides SAS port expansion for edge and fanout topologies using a nonblocking cross-bar matrix. The device integrates 36 serializer/deserializers (SerDes), an embedded Stanford-1 CPU, SMP and SSP virtual PHY engines, and STP/SATA bridging functions.
