The VSC7157YS-03 is a 36-PHY Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) edge/fanout expander supporting 1.5Gbps and 3.0Gbps data rates. It features an internal nonblocking cross-bar matrix for any-to-any PHY connectivity. The device integrates 36 serializer/deserializers, per-PHY diagnostics, retiming elasticity buffers, and an embedded v3000 CPU for enclosure management. It supports SAS 1.0/1.1 specifications and includes STP/SATA bridging functions. Power requirements include 3.3V, 1.8V, and 1.2V supplies.
