The LTC1069-1IS8 is a monolithic 8th order progressive elliptic lowpass filter in an 8-lead SO package. It operates from single 3.3V to ±5V supplies with supply currents of 2mA, 2.5mA, and 3.8mA respectively. The cutoff frequency equals the clock frequency divided by 100, reaching up to 12kHz with ±5V supplies. Stopband attenuation reaches -70dB at 2fCUTOFF. Wideband noise is 110μV RMS, and the signal-to-(noise + THD) ratio is ≥70dB.
Verify the IS8 suffix indicates industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C) and SOIC-8 packaging. Confirm lead-free finish status via datasheet markings. Ensure clock source meets TTL/CMOS thresholds for selected supply voltage. Check availability as this specific variant may have limited distribution channels.
Select based on required cutoff frequency relative to available clock sources. Choose supply voltage considering power constraints and maximum achievable cutoff frequency limits. Verify input signal levels do not exceed output swing capabilities. Consider external buffering if driving low impedance loads or coaxial cables.
Part of the LTC1069 family of low-power elliptic filters. Related parts include LTC1069-6 for single supply operation and LTC1164 series for Butterworth or linear phase responses. All share similar clock-tunable architectures but differ in filter response characteristics and power specifications.
LTC1069-1CS8#PBF offers identical electrical performance with commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C). LTC1069-1IN8#PBF provides DIP-8 packaging option. Cross-reference pinouts and clock requirements when substituting.
