Force Sensors detect and respond to the presence or a change in the amount of pressure on their actuator, which can be a ball, button, diaphragm, flat membrane, plunger, or pushbutton. The three sensor types are force sensing resistor, load cell, and resistive. Their operating force ranges covering 0 to 1500 newtons (N), 0 to 22,680 kilograms force (kgf) or 0 to 50,000 pounds (lbs.), with output options of analog voltage, resistive, ratiometric, and voltage.

Understand how oscillators generate timing signals, how they differ from crystals, and which frequency, output and stability specs matter when choosing one.
